Palm has decided to stop all webOS developer approvals after realizing that there was a virtual keyboard leak, marking the second time a keyboard was seen in webOS code. The latest leak that gave the game away was the parameter VirtualKeyboardEnabled=False, where changing the value to True could show just what Palm has up their sleeves down the road despite not invoking any reaction from a webOS-powered device at press time. Some people might speculate that this keyboard will make its mark on the mysterious webOS tablet alongside future smartphones if HP decides to go ahead.

Sharp will be showcasing a new cellphone at the IFA that will feature a glasses-free 3D phone that sports a camera that is capable of shooting 3D images too. The 3D images are captured thanks to the inclusion of two lenses. The glasses-free experience is due to the use of a lenticular lens, similar to that Nintendo's 3DS uses. The phone is currently still a concept, but Sharp spokespeople claim that it could be out this year.

Users of Apple's Magic Mouse might be frustrated if they find that they have to change the battery too often, and Mobee is looking to capitalize on that by coming up with the Mobee Magic Charger for Apple's Magic Mouse. This charger is an inductive charger that consists of a mini-USB base station and a battery pack that fits nicely into Apple's mouse. According to the specifications, on a full charge, it'll be able to keep the Magic Mouse running for 6 days of constant use. An inductive charging mouse pad was originally considered, but they decided to reduce the footprint and keep it portable and inconspicuous, allowing users to use the surface of their choice. Expect to pay $49.90 for the Mobee Magic Charger when it ships worldwide in October.

The good news is that Mophie is already busy working on a Juice Pack for the iPhone 4, and it could even be available as soon as next week. While it hasn't been officially announced yet, the Juice Pack for the iPhone 4 is expected to retail at $79. The Juice Pack Air (as it's called) will feature pass-through USB charging, an integrated 4 LED charge status, and a standby switch to disable to battery function of the Juice Pack.

Toshiba has issued a voluntary recall of its T130 and T135 13.3-inch notebook computers due to the possible risk of fire. This recall affects a good 41,000 notebooks sold worldwide and includes the Satellite T135, T135D, and Satellite Pro T130 notebooks. The issue is due to the potential overheating of the notebook's AC adapter power plug, and Toshiba has already received several incidents of the notebooks overheating and deforming the plastic around the power plug. Owners of affected models can check if their notebook is affected by downloading a new BIOS update that will check if the notebook is overheating, disable the external power port when necessary, and display a message to bring the notebook to Toshiba for a free repair.
