Motorola XT610 And WX445 Appear In Verizon's Inventory System

There must be plenty of cameras snooping around Verizon's inventory system, and after an inventory shot of the upcoming Motorola Stingray, the Motorola XT610 and Citrus (WX455) have been pictured in Verizon's inventory system too. From what we know, the XT610 will be an interesting device, something like a cheaper version of the Droid X. It should feature a large display, similar to that of the Droid X, but will cut back on specifications such as processor speed and camera resolution. It should be priced from $100 to $150 on a two-year contract. The Citrus is targeted at the younger crowd as an entry-level Android 2.1 device. Being an entry-level device, it's expected to sport a smaller 3.1-inch display and should be easy on your wallet.

If you've fiddled with the EVO 4G or Epic 4G before, you'll probably have tried out Qik, the cross-platform video chat and sharing service. The company is busy planning to make its service the most popular client around, as it's planning to integrate FaceTime compatibility once Apple rolls out the free APIs. Aside from that, the company is already in the midst of deals to ensure that Qik comes preloaded on devices from major carriers and handset manufacturers worldwide and is estimated to come standard on a juicy 75 million devices by the end of 2010. Currently Qik is preloaded on the EVO 4G, Epic 4G, Samsung Omnia II, Nokia N97, and the N97 mini.

Hack: Web-controlled Watering Can

This system won't revolutionize your gardening practices just yet, but it's still cool to be able to use a browser to control your watering can. Yes, we're talking about a watering can that can be controlled with a WebKit browser interface. The interface shows a drawing of the watering can on your browser, allowing you to grab hold of the handle and tip it. Perhaps with further modifications we'll be able to water all the plants in our garden remotely from our mobile phones in the future? Check out a video for more on this setup after the jump.
